The first event took place on 27 January 2026 as part of the CARDEA – Career Acknowledgement for Research (Managers) Delivering for the European Area project. It brought together research and project management professionals from across Europe. The programme included discussions on leadership in research projects, the role of research managers within the European Research Area, examples of good practices from the Polish research system, and topics related to equality, diversity, and inclusion in research. Participants also visited the Cyclotron Centre Bronowice, one of Europe’s leading centres for proton therapy and oncology research.
The following day, on 28 January 2026, the event “Małopolska: Fostering Collaboration for Research Success” was held in cooperation with the EURAXESS network and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The programme focused on promoting international researcher mobility, sharing the experiences of international researchers working in Kraków, and developing institutional strategies for their integration and support. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of international collaboration as a driver of excellence in research and innovation.
By participating in these events, the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula continues to actively strengthen its international partnerships and keep pace with contemporary European trends in research, project management, and researcher support. The knowledge gained and professional connections established during these events will further contribute to the development of the University’s international activities and enhance support for scientific research and European projects.
